Is an ancestor in your lineage also in the qualifying line of descent of a member of The Society of the War of 1812 ? Enter the name of ANY of your ancestors living over the past 200 years (the name you enter does not have to be that of the soldier) and the year of their birth or death to find out! You will be notified by email if it appears that you might have a common ancestor which is also in a Society of the War of 1812 member's qualifying line of descent. An unsuccessful search does not preclude the possibility you may still have an ancestor who fought in the War of 1812 for the U.S., as not all lines of descent from 1812 soldiers are represented by the body of qualifying lineages of Society of the War of 1812 members.
